Shameless Self Advertisement

Well, hi guys! It looks like I'm doing pretty well keeping up with this blog!

I hate to interrupt the flow of things, but here's a post to shamelessly advertise other sites where I chat and rant.

Please visit my two newly established tumblr sites!
http://orankranberry.tumblr.com/
http://bookquotesforhire.tumblr.com/

Oran Kranberry is dedicated to my octopus plushie with the same name. You'll see a chronicle of our adventures together as well as just some plain good ol' octopus cuteness.

Book Quotes For Hire is a tumblr based on all quotes. It shall feature quotes from my currently-reading books (which you can see on Goodreads).

Uhm, now I shall leave you with a picture of the tiramisu, my sister and I made recently.

Boston Adventures of Today!

Hello everybody! :D

Day 2 of blogging shall be kicked off with my description of the beautiful outdoor scenery that I encountered in Boston today. My sister and I headed out today to simply see the sun and sky..and perhaps shop a bit.

There's something nostalgic about heading out to Boston Common to take a nice summer walk. Maybe it's those omnipresent swan boats, the ducks, the swans, the wind-in-your-hair-feeling...

-cue image spam-
Note: These images were taken by yours truly, with my phone! :D
Swan boats - Did you know? The fare is 2.75 for adults I believe..And 1.50 for children!
You can have a nice view of the river here~ I do not know who that guy in the corner is

Today was a good day. The sun-not too sunny. Well it was sunny, but not in an annoying, irritating method. The sun was kind today, beautiful like an old grandpa's love.
Like kids feeding ducks.

And sometimes, how I long to go back to those days. To that rose-tinted age. The Belle Époque ! Kekeke, god, please forgive my lame European history puns.

Onto the rest of the day! My sister and I even encountered one of those mythical, urban legend food trucks! Clover! We didn't have time to sample their wares, but here's a photo to compensate. (: Oddly, food trucks are kind of reminiscent of those food vendors on the streets in NYC, which I visited during my April vacation. Ah, those people standing by with their greasy chicken stir-frys and eager appetite for new business.

They were lined up right in front of the Park Street Station today.

Let me finish up with some more random-images of the Commons. Hope you enjoy them.

Do these not look like the trees in Dr. Seuss's books? Or giant purple dandelions? Or maybe lollipops in the ground?

Isn't there something so fascinating about tree roots? The roots, they intertangle and criss-cross, their intricate legs dancing as the wind blows..

But yes, all this traveling about Boston Commons makes a person hungry! So me and my sister headed to froyo afterwards!

Mine's the one on the left. My sister has the right one~

Toppings on mine: Cheesecake bites, strawberries and granola
My sister's toppings: Mango, Strawberry, Gummy bears and something else I can't remember.

Oh and apparently they have those rewards cards now, buy 10 froyo cups of any size and get the 11th one free!

Well yes, I suppose that's it for today! Keep rambling folks and visit me again on Meandering Days!

Oh, it's The Thinker-frog. A statue next to Frog Pond.

Welcome all!

Welcome all!

Welcome to my new blog, which honestly doesn't look like much now..but will look much better in the future!

I guess it's proper to start with some introduction, is it not?

Ignore the bunny, he's simply here to greet you! Probably the courtesy of some site I like to waste time on - 9gag or Iwastesomuchtime. He doesn't bite either. (:

To my fair first time guests, my name is Karen and I am your loyal blogger at Meandering Days. As the title suggests, it's a blog dedicated to my random musings and most arbitrary rambling thoughts. Perhaps I'll comment about my own philosophy on life or how pretty ladybugs are.

Perhaps let's get to know myself a bit more, eh?

I'm Karen, soon to be a current student at Smith College for undergraduate studies! Undecided about my major, so don't pursue that question too thoroughly!

I'm Asian American, proud of my culture..and relatively fluent in Mandarin Chinese. I can also type and read (a good deal of it I suppose), though I think I need work on more reading skills.

I'm not tall, not short..Okay, okay, some people call me short. 5'3'', decent right?

For all you curious people, yes I'm a bookworm - I have my own Goodreads account that I want you to follow! ..A page on that soon, haha.

I hope you'll enjoy your time here..because I know I will!

Excited to have a blog at last to rant and rant and rant - I'll have to make more posts and blog even more in the future!
